What is Solid Timber Flooring

What is Solid Timber Flooring?

Solid timber flooring is milled from a single plank of natural wood — no plywood core, no veneer. It can be sanded and refinished many times over, ageing with character rather than wearing out. It performs best indoors, where humidity and temperature stay fairly consistent.

IFIT — Supply & Installation Scope

Supply & Installation Scope

Our timber flooring installation follows a fixed sequence, from sub-floor checks to the final coat, carried out by our in-house installers.

01

Surface Preparation

Screed is cured, levelled and checked before any timber is laid.

02

Laying Timber Strips

Strips are bonded onto the plywood/cemboard base, cleat-fastened and closed off edge to edge.

03

Sanding & Varnishing

Multiple sanding passes, gap filling and two coats bring the floor to its final finish.
